Apple Tarts with Maple Syrup


  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 50ml Taylor & Colledge Maple Syrup
  • 150g whipped cream cheese
  • 250ml whipping cream
  • 45ml butter
  • 4 apples
  • 6 cooked tart shells


Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C.
Step 2
Place the cornflour into a mixing bowl, and slowly whisk in the maple syrup until smooth.
Step 3
Add cream cheese gradually, whisking until incorporated. Finally, whisk in the cream.
Step 4
Peel and slice the apples into wedges. Melt the butter in a large, non-stick frying pan, and add the apples, cooking until they are just tender.
Step 5
Fill cooked tart shells with maple preparation and arrange apples in fan pattern.
Step 6
Top with maple glaze and bake until golden brown.
