  • 115g bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 160g unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Taylor & Colledge Lavender Extract Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Taylor & Colledge Vanilla Bean Extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 75g plain flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon flaked sea salt


Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175C. Grease and line a 20cm square pan.
Step 2
In a large saucepan melt the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Remove from the heat and add the lavender extract paste, sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Add the eggs, mixing until well combined, and then stir in the flour and walnuts. The batter should be smooth and thick.
Step 5
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until an inserted into the centre knife comes out clean.
Step 6
Immediately after removing the brownies from the oven, sprinkle the top with flaked sea salt. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
