Vanilla French Toast with Orange

Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 50g marscapone
- 20ml pouring cream
- 2 tsp Taylor & Colledge Vanilla Bean Paste
- 3 tbs castor sugar
- 2 tsp finely grated orange zest
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 loaf sugared or plain brioche, thickly sliced into 12
- 4-5 tablespoons butter
Method
- Step 1
- Whisk together the eggs, mascarpone, cream, vanilla bean paste, sugar, zest and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- Step 2
- Place a large, non stick frying pan over a medium heat, and add a tablespoon of butter.
- Step 3
- When the butter has melted, dip two or three slices at a time into the egg mixture on each side, and place into the hot pan. Add as many slices as will fit comfortably in one layer.
- Step 4
- Cook each piece until lightly browned on both sides, set aside and keep warm. Repeat with remaining butter and brioche.
- Step 5
- Serve toast dusted with Taylor & Colledge Vanilla Bean or Cinnamon Dusting Sugar.
