Bourbon vanilla beans, Vanilla planifolia, are grown in Madagascar, Comoros and Reunion Islands on the African east coast – the “Bourbon” region. Madagascan Vanilla is the most abundant form of vanilla. With a smooth, rich and sweet flavour and aroma, this type of vanilla is perfect in baked goods, ice creams, custards, desserts and sauces.
